1. About ArmsbyDigital

ArmsbyDigital is a digital services business operated by Jack Armsby, United Kingdom. We provide website design and development, QR business card production, and affordable websites for small businesses of any kind. By purchasing our services, you agree to these Terms of Service in full.

2. What We Provide

2.1 What Your Plan Includes

Your one-off setup fee (the amount depends on your chosen plan) covers:

  • A fully designed and built website, personalised for your business and location
  • On-page SEO including meta titles, descriptions, and local schema markup
  • Mobile-first, responsive design
  • WhatsApp contact integration
  • QR portal business card design and production
  • Domain registration in your name (approximately £10–15/year, included in setup)
  • A QR code that links straight to your website

2.2 Monthly Management

Your monthly subscription covers:

  • Ongoing website hosting, fast, secure, always live
  • Monthly performance and ranking updates
  • Website updates and content changes on request
  • Technical maintenance and support

Your first monthly payment begins 30 days after your setup payment date.

3. Ownership of Assets

3.1 Your Domain

Your domain is registered in your name from the point of purchase. ArmsbyDigital does not own your domain at any time. You have full ownership. We manage the DNS settings on your behalf for as long as you are an active client. Upon cancellation, DNS management is returned to you with full instructions.

3.2 Your Website

Your website and all content within it belongs to you. ArmsbyDigital builds and manages it on your behalf. We do not claim ownership of your website, your copy, your photos, or your business information at any time.

Upon cancellation, you will receive all website files (HTML and content files) so you can host your site independently if you choose.

3.3 Referrals

Active clients can refer other small businesses to ArmsbyDigital. When a referred business signs up, both accounts receive a free month. Referral credits apply to active subscriptions only and have no cash value.

4. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By completing payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to these terms.

  • Setup fee: a one-off charge based on your chosen plan (Starter, Professional or Elite), due once you have approved your free homepage preview
  • Monthly subscription: based on your chosen plan, beginning 30 days after setup payment
  • ArmsbyDigital is not VAT registered, no VAT is charged, and the prices shown are the full amounts payable
  • Payments are non-refundable once the full-site build has commenced (which begins after your setup payment)

If a payment fails, we will notify you by email. You have 7 days to resolve the payment before your subscription is paused. Services will resume automatically once payment is resolved.

5. Account Freeze

5.1 What a Freeze Means

We understand that small businesses have quiet periods. You may freeze your account for up to 3 months per calendar year. During a freeze:

  • Your monthly payment is paused for the duration of the freeze
  • Your website remains live and accessible
  • Your account is marked as temporarily inactive
  • You will not receive website update support during a freeze period

5.2 How to Freeze Your Account

You can freeze your account at any time from your Client Portal, open the Account tab and select Freeze. The freeze takes effect immediately and your next payment is paused. If you would rather we handle it for you, email jack@armsbydigital.co.uk and we will apply the freeze on your behalf.

5.3 Freeze Limits

Freeze periods are limited to a maximum of 3 months in any calendar year (January to December). Freeze months do not need to be consecutive. Your account will automatically reactivate at the end of your requested freeze period and normal billing will resume.

6. Cancellation Policy

6.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time directly from your Client Portal. You then have a 96-hour window to change your mind and withdraw the request from your Portal. Once that window passes, your cancellation is confirmed: your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period and will not renew. No further charges will be made after that date.

6.2 What Happens When You Cancel

When your current billing period ends:

  • Your ArmsbyDigital account and dashboard access are removed
  • You will receive a complete handover package containing all your website files and domain DNS instructions
  • Full guidance will be provided on how to manage your domain and host your website independently

Within 14 days of your billing period ending:

  • All ArmsbyDigital systems, records, and data relating to your account will be permanently deleted, except payment records we are legally required to retain for HMRC purposes (up to 7 years)
  • This includes your database client record, any stored files on our systems, and your entry in our internal records
  • This deletion is permanent and irreversible

6.3 No Refunds on Current Billing Period

Payments already made for the current billing period are non-refundable. Your service and access remain fully active until the billing period ends.
